Upgrade Tagriffet Control Building

The work comprises of civil construction of two 20,000 cubic meter capacity forebay tanks, two pumping stations with electrical buildings, chlorination buildings, feeder tanks, shafts and other appurtenant structures. The work involved about 16738 cubic meters of concrete work and 2500 tons of rebar fabrication and installation. Both forebay tanks and pumping stations with electrical buildings have been completed ahead of approved schedule. Work on the remaining appurtenant structures is progressing as per approved schedule.

Construction of 2000 living units and service buildings

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The original project comprised of development of a master plan over an area of 102 hectares along with design and construction of 2000 living units and associated public buildings near the city of Alkhoms, district Almarqab. However on 26 November 2008 the scope of development of master plan increased from 102 hectares to 237 hectares and as per changed requirements a new master plan accommodating 3450 units and associated public buildings has been prepared and submitted. In addition to the housing units urban plan includes service buildings, public buildings, parks and roads. Utilities like water, power and sewerage for the development project are integrated with the regional infrastructure.

Mobilization has been completed at site and client approval for buildings and master plan is awaited to commence work. The work is expected to be completed within the stipulated construction period of 27 month after receipt of design approval and site hand over.

The work involved about 11333 cubic meters of concrete work and 1900 tons of rebar fabrication and installation. Work on the last pumping station is in progress as per approved schedule. All the remaining works have been completed ahead of schedule.

The scope of work comprised of design and construction of a workshop for welding, AC repair and equipment maintenance with covered area of 3000 sqm. The steel structure consists of 8m high and 20m span portal frames with provision of two gantry cranes of 5 and 10 tons. A mezzanine floor with composite roof construction provides space for storage, facilities and offices. Being a fast track project, design along with procurement of off shore materials was completed well ahead of construction schedule. Further activities are on hold due to client pending contractual obligations.
