Visit of British Ambassador Sir Vincent Fean to MAKCO TRIPOLI OFFICES in Libya
Sir Vincent Fean KCVO, Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Great
Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and Mr Mowlut, Deputy Head Commercial
Section visited the Tripoli Office of Makco (UK) Ltd and met with the senior
management, where he was upraised about the activities of Makco Group in Libya.

Secretary Housing & Infrastructure Board (HIB), Dr Mohammad Abu Jela
visited the site of Design and Construction of 2000 living units at Al-Khoms
along with senior personnel from HIB comprising of Dr Mohammad Blaow, Dr
Abdussalam Minider, Engr Musa Abushala, and Engr Abdullah Elobeidi. AECOM
was represented by Arthur Pisana, Darlene Johnson, Adel Maher, Peter Zuk,
and Nurdin Tulti. SECT TUNISIE was represented by Diab Abdelli and Kamel
Guetta.
Makco UK Ltd was represented by the CEO Ijaz Rashid, Advisor Business
Development Iqbal Haider, Director (Projects & Planning) Anwar Ahmed,
GM (Technical) Sohail Moughal, GM (Coordination), Mustafa Ibisevic and DGM
(Administration) Osama Hadi.
The secretary of the Board was presented with a summary of the
activities related to mobilization, design and construction. After the meeting,
the discussion led to the issues on site and pending approvals from the
UPA. The Secretary of the Board was satisfied with the progress on site.

The CEO, Ijaz Rashid joined the workers for lunch on the site of Design
and Construction of 2000 Living Units and Public Buildings at the Contractors
Camp. While talking to the workers after lunch, the CEO emphasized the need
to maintain a safe environment and provide the best quality of services.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to Libya, HE Jamil Ahmad Khan visited the
Tripoli Office of Makco Group to discuss the existing and future role of
Pakistani manpower in the development projects in the Great Socialist People's
Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

MASTER PLAN FOR 4500 LIVING UNITS APPROVED
The master plan created by Edwin Mintoff Architects with the assistance
of MAKCO design team was approved by the Urban Planning Authority of Libya.
The Plan contained 4500 living units with associated educational, residential,
cultural, commercial, recreation, facility and utility buildings.

Mr Iqbal Haider, former Ambassador of Pakistan in Libya, joins Makco
Group as Advisor Business Development.
Mr Iqbal Haider has served as Air Vice Marshal in Pakistan Air Force
and Deputy Managing Director in Shaheen Foundation. He also worked in Libya
during 1981 providing flying training to Libyan pilots.
He speaks various languages with fluency in the Arabic language. In his
spare time, he listens to classical music and likes to play his guitar.

Makco (UK) Ltd signs a contract with the Housing Infrastructure Board, Libya for constructing 2000 living units.
The Libyan Minister of Infrastructure Development Mr. Abozed Dahorda in presence of officials, diplomats, journalists and companies from various countries signed the contract with the CEO of Makco Group Mr. Ijaz Rashid in a ceremony held in the Tajura Head Office of the Board.
The contract amount is around 220.00 million Libyan Dinars.
